If you were to pick one of the most unique trails in San Diego, it would be Laguna Mountain. It is located exactly halfway across the dessert section to the west and the conifer section to the east. There are some unique hiking trails here in San Diego. Potato Chip Rock, Three Sisters Falls both come to mind. Eagle Rock, which we are going to today, is another one of them. The rock that looks like a soaring eagle is one of the very special rock formations that you can't see anywhere except here in San Diego. I left early in the morning for the trailhead, which is less than an hour from downtown San Diego. The most exciting moment during this trek is probably the sunrise.
