Picture this, I am busy packing my camping stuffs in the morning. When I see that they are piled up in the living room, I see that they are full of luggage like an evacuating person, but my heart is fluttering like a child before a family picnic. Today we are going camping for 2 days 1 night to one of the most beautiful places in California, the Anza Borrego Campground.
Anza Borrego is a State Park located about an hour and a half from San Diego. There are beautiful trails hidden throughout the vast desert, so it's a lot of fun to discover and enjoy them one by one; such as Borrego Palm Canyon, Fonts Point, The Slot, Goat Canyon, Panorama Overlook, etc. There are so many hidden jams that it is difficult to list them all.

The check-in started at 2 pm when the party appeared at the campground, one by one. We started setting up our tent in a hurry under the fantastically temperate 75 degree sunny weather. I was in a hurry because I plan to visit as many places as possible in a short time of two days.
The first day we climbed the Borrego Palm Canyon trail, Anza Borrego's most famous trail. This trail, with its trailhead starting at the campground, is a short 2.9-mile, two-hour course, but it is magically packed with tens of thousands of attractions. At the end of the trail, you can see a desert oasis and the lush palm tree forest around it. The Big Horns happily welcomed us along the way.

We returned to the camp after hiking before the sun went down and enjoyed a cool cocktail. We had a good time until late in the evening, listening to the sounds of grilling meat, music, and people laughing here and there. The place we arrived at with the Milky Way adorned in the night sky was the Metal Sculpture Park. I took a picture of the Milky Way in the background in front of the huge dragon-shaped metal sculpture. I suggest you check those sculptures out, each one uniquely magnificent. So it was, our hiking party ended the first day of camping with full laughter and banter, went to bed with promise for more adventures to come tomorrow.

After a long and restful sleep, I woke up to the tent roof illuminating with bright colors from the sun rising to the East. I let out a yawn as I thought to myself, it is time to wake up. So I rubbed my eyes and looked out of the tent, and alas I saw a spectacular view of the desert sky as the sunrise was burning through. We then hurriedly got in the car and arrived at our next adventure, Font’s Point. This is one of California's most scenic spots, especially at sunrise and sunset. Everyone felt serene, basking in the beautiful scenery. We returned to the camp after taking pictures.
After having a light breakfast, while leisurely enjoying coffee around the bonfire, the group dispersed. I am still a novice camper, so I have a lot to learn, but I am proud to be a professional enjoyer of camping. Well, that is it my Hiking and Camping Co-Enthusiasts. We will see you all at the next camping trip. Godspeed!
